Another way to build.

Adabloc turns local waste into blocks, pavers and wall panels, then puts the same parts together as homes that grow with the family.

01 · Waste

It starts as waste.

Plastics, packaging and industrial by-products, sorted and tested so every batch behaves the same way.

02 · Material

Engineered into material.

Each waste stream is processed into a consistent mix, then pressed into a block. Recipes are in development now.

03 · Components

Made into components.

Blocks and pavers come first. Builders can use them long before a full house system is approved.

04 · Core 40

Put together as a home.

A permanent 40 m² starter home, assembled from the same blocks and wall panels.

05 · + Bedroom

Then it grows.

The structure and services are planned for the next room before the first one is finished.

06 · + Studio

Homes that grow with you.

Add a studio or workspace with its own entrance, without breaking down load-bearing walls.

We start with the parts.

Builders can use our components long before a full house system is approved. These are the first four things we're developing, and where each one stands today.

Blocks and pavers

Interlocking blocks · pavers

Made with recycled content for driveways, walkways and boundary walls first, then structures once tested. Simple to make, simple to lay, and the first products we plan to sell.

Concept render comparing a Core 40 starter home with the same home after expansion

Start at 40 m². Grow from there.

Core 40 is a permanent home from day one. Add a bedroom, then a studio or workspace, as the family and its income grow.

Short of homes. Buried in waste.

Two of South Africa's biggest problems, and nothing yet that connects them.

The road to a certified product.

Six months of testing before we sell anything. This is the plan we're working to, and we'll publish results as they come in.
